I don’t want to get into specifics cus lord knows that’s a bad idea, but a current frustration of mind is people who go “we care so much about the mentally ill, ableism is bad” and then proceed to do shit that clearly shows they don’t give a shit about those issues.

I know I’m a dog essentially chasing my own tail here, but I need you to understand how weird it is to see folks claim to care about ableism and then in the next breath write off mental illness as something you just gotta “grit your teeth and get over.” Like, you don’t gotta claim it’s a priority if it isn’t one, just please stop lying to my face about it!

i got some kuwagami! (nobody is surprised) i wrote a oneshot but ended up scrapping the first ending i wrote, but i still like the exchange here, so i figure i'll immortalise it by making it one of my sunday six posts. i wonder if i could find a way to squeeze it into another fic.... hm...

“You’d loved me even then, didn’t you?” Yagami asks, long after everything is over. “It hurt you more because you loved me, because you felt too much.”

Kuwana shrugs. Had he been so obvious? He supposed he was too lost in emotion to hide anything at the time. “I wanted whatever I could get. Thought it’d be the death of me, wanting that much.”

“I wouldn’t have let that happen.”

“Wouldn’t you?”

“What, you think I’m that cruel of a man?”

Kuwana can only laugh at Yagami’s scandalised expression. “You’re right. You’re too much of a wannabe hero for that. So idealistic.”

“What’s so idealistic about wanting to save you?”

“Well, what about me is worth saving?”

Yagami looks frustrated, but it’s for Kuwana’s sake, so he can’t be too annoyed by it.

“Plenty.” Yagami says, certain but decidedly vague.

“Plenty?” Kuwana repeats, and smiles.

His heart shakes, that familiar feeling that still hasn’t gone away.

Ah, well.

He could live with that.

actually, because of that secret secret i just read, i’m going to post this thought before i forget about it, actually — for the last few days i’ve been turning over the idea of dan heng x reader where the reader, a chef or at least competent cook, joins the express and works as chef to save everybody from himeko’s… creative dinner plans (inspired by the recent event)… and there’s something about the effortless, easy confidence with which you navigate the kitchen which dan heng admires. it’s an art form of its own, really.

(plus, as i mentioned, everyone loves you because you’re there to step in and lend some guidance when himeko decides it’s her turn to cook…..)

one minute you're like "oh i think i could make an ita bag" and the next thing you know...

this is just a sample run to test out my pattern & techniques, not even my final window shape but im pretty happy with it! theres one tiny place i slipped, but i can just trim away a little more of the outline and youll never notice.

my goal is a backpack, but tbh i think when ive trialed my pattern im going to rip it all back apart and turn this into a round cross body bag- i think the window will look real good like that! i wasnt originally planning on getting use out of this but... im kind of falling in love

You know how while Wonder Woman Artemis never gets the chance to save a woman (or anyone but women are more thematically important in terms of Amazon philosophy and history here) in a way that wasn't just like a total farce with fake villains etc. and she never learned the truth about that before her death. But then the FIRST thing she does after being resurrected is save the life of the night watch(wo)man of the cemetery and then go on to not just save her, but advocate for her and her future? Yeah.
